Class Descriptions
Kids & Company. Introduces children from ages 21 months to under 3 years to pre-school gymnastics equipment and body movements. Class begins with aerobic and stretching activities, involves a period of supervised free play, and ends with a group game or play activity. A parent or other adult role model must accompany the child for the entire class period. This program is designed to allow your toddler to participate in an activity that promotes fun and physical fitness through the sport of gymnastics. It also introduces important socialization skills such as listening, following directions, waiting for turns, and interacting with peers.
Age 2 yrs 45 minutes
Mini Olympians L1. For Pre-school children 3-5 years of age who are beginning to be independent. Class begins with stretching and utilizes fun gymnastics activities to introduce elementary gymnastic skills on varying pieces of equipment.
Age 3-5 yrs 45 minutes
Mini Olympians L2. For Pre-school children 3-5 years of age who have the maturity to focus and follow instructions. Class begins with stretching and incorporates fun, slightly more difficult elementary gymnastic skills on all age-appropriate apparatus.
Age 3-5 yrs 45 minutes
Tumble Weeds. Simple instructional tumbling for ages 3-5 years. Includes a fun warm-up period, and ends with a group activity/game. This class is great for siblings close in age.

Hot Shots. For children 5 years of age. Class begins with stretching and incorporates fun, slightly more difficult elementary gymnastic skills on all age-appropriate apparatus.
Age 5 yrs 45 minutes
Homeschool Gym. This co-ed morning class is for Homeschoolers ages 6 & Up. Enjoy fulfilling your Physical Education requirement in a FUN, learning environment. All apparatus is utilized, and coordination and physical fitness is our fun focus!
Ages 6 & Up 55 minutes
Beginner Youth Tumbling. This class is designed for younger kids with little to no tumbling experience. The class will focus on the very basics of rolls, cartwheels, and round offs. Advancement to next class based on perfection of skill not time in class. Some students may be in the same level class for more than one session.
Ages 6-9yrs 55 minutes
Beginner Teen Tumbling. This class is designed for older students with little to no tumbling experience. The class will focus on the very basics of rolls, cartwheels, and round offs. Advancement to next class based on perfection of skill not time in class. Some students may be in the same level class for more than one session.
Ages 10 & Up 55 minutes
Focus Tumbling. This class is specifically designed for the tumblers who can easily manage the beginner tumbling skills, but who need to acquire the backbend kickover and strong round-off with a powerful rebound required for acceptance into our intermediate level tumbling class. This class focuses more on body control in all phases of tumbling, and will introduce back handsprings.
Ages 6-Up 55 minutes

Beginning through Advanced Level Classes (below) are instructed utilizing the USAG training guidelines which emphasize progressive skill achievement through use of proper technique and physical conditioning.
Gymsters '1' & '2'. This level of gymnastic instruction is equivalent to USAG Level 1 and Level 2 and is an introduction/beginning level for 6-7 year olds. This program introduces simple gymnastic skills (rolls, cartwheels, round offs, backbends) and body conditioning on all apparatus, creating a foundation of good technique that will prepare them for progression to a more difficult and challenging skill level. Level 2 must be able to perform a strong cartwheel.
Ages 6 to 7 yrs; promotion only by ability evaluation 55 minutes
Bounders '1' & '2'. This level of gymnastic instruction is equivalent to USAG Level 1 and Level 2, and is an introduction/beginning level for ages 8 and older. This program introduces simple gymnastic skills (rolls, cartwheels, round offs, backbends) and body conditioning on all apparatus, creating a foundation of good technique that will prepare them for progression to a more difficult and challenging skill level. Level 2 must be able to perform a strong cartwheel.
Ages 8 - Up; promotion only by ability evaluation 55 minutes
Twisters. This level of gymnastic instruction is equivalent to USAG Level 3, and is open to ages 6 and older. This intermediate program teaches skills on all apparatus with added focus on strength, flexibility, and proper technique. This class requires more discipline and body control, and focuses on preparing for the more advanced levels to come. To be accepted into this class students should already be able to perform a strong handstand, backbend kickover, strong round off, and a moderately spotted back handspring. Achievement in this class may prelude to an invitation to join our Intermediate Recreation Team.
Ages 6 - Up; promotion only by ability evaluation 2 hours
Intermediate Tumbling. This class is designed for students with tumbling experience. Students must be able to perform a strong handstand, backbend kickover, strong round off and a spotted back hand spring to be in this class. The class will focus on round offs, walkovers, back handsprings, and front tumbling. Advancement to next level based on perfection of skill not on time in class. Some students may be in the same level class for more than one session.
Ages 6-Up 90 minutes
Advanced Tumbling. This class is designed for students with strong tumbling experience. Students must be able to perform standing back handsprings and a round off back handspring without assistance to be in this class. Back tucks with light spots are acceptable. The class will focus on speciality passes, layouts, front tumbling and twisting. Students should have a high level of motivation and maturity.
Ages 6-Up 90 minutes
Intermediate Recreation Team. Is the precursor to Advanced Recreation Team and is non-competitive. A higher level of gymnast commitment and work ethic is required. Gymnasts practice twice weekly for a total of 5 hours. USAG level 4 skills required for acceptance into IRT front & back walkovers, a strong round off, & an unassisted round off back handspring.
Requires an evaluation and invitation by the head coach.
6 hrs/wk $170 / month
Advanced Recreation Team. This is a Mason Dixon competitive team. Gymnasts must be able to perform a round off-back handspring-back tuck unassisted, and demonstrate strength and agility on all other apparatus. Involvement on our Team requires a minimum commitment of 6 hours per week, as well as occasional volunteer duties of parent(s). Competitive fees, Team apparel and some Team events are an additional expense.
Requires an evaluation and invitation by the head coach.
6 hrs/wk $170 / month

Group Tumbling Clinics. Annual registration is required! Hourly rates are as follows:
4-8 students $15 per student; 9-13 students $12 per; 14-20 students $10 per.
Private Lessons. Annual registration required. By appointment only. One-on-one private instruction to achieve a specific skill.
Any age. $25 per 1/2 Hour; $50 per Hour
