Gym Rules
SAFETY FIRST - ALWAYS!

In order to protect our students and staff, as well as our viewers, there are several SAFETY RULES that must be followed:
1. You MUST wear appropriate attire! (See the Class Attire Policy below for more information)
2. Tennis shoes are to be worn for Tumbling Classes only, as well as snug fitting tops and shorts.
3. Long hair should ALWAYS be securely tied back.
4. NO jewelry.
5. NO food, gum, candy, or beverages allowed in the gym. Bottled Water is the only exception.
6. Students should remain with the class, unless they need to use the bathroom. And students must ask coach for permission to leave the floor for any reason. Running to and from parent during class is strongly discouraged.
7. Parents - as a courtesy to the instructors, please do not 'coach' your kids from the 'sidelines'.
8. Parents - please take note that any student who persists in disrupting a class will be removed until behavior is improved. Instructors work hard to make class a pleasant learning environment for everyone. Please make sure your child is made aware of class behavior expectations each day.
9. Unenrolled siblings in the viewing area are never allowed to run or play on the matting, equipment or spring floor. This poses a danger to students and staff!
10. Please refrain from blocking the walkways around the desk and trampoline!
11. Running ‘wild’ in the gym is NEVER permitted.
12. Students (non-drivers) are never to leave the gym without their parent or guardian!!!

Inclement Weather Policy:
Xtreme regular session classes follow the St. Mary's County School's weather policy. If school is canceled or dismissed early, then Xtreme will be closed. If school is delayed, we will be open at the delayed time. Classes canceled due to weather related closures will be made up at a later date. PLEASE NOTE! This only applies to the Session Classes and NOT the competitive teams. All Team members will be contacted by their coach in the event of Inclement Weather to indicate whether or not there is practice. During competition mode - most practices will still occur. Classes are held most Federal Holidays. See Class Schedule for specific details.

Class Make-up Policy:
It is the policy of Xtreme Athletics to offer a make-up class only if Xtreme has canceled a scheduled class, due to unforeseeable circumstances. Make up classes are not offered or available to students who miss regularly scheduled classes, without express written consent from the owner or program director, as student/teacher ratio may exceed our allowable limits.

Make Up Class Options:
1. Attend a similar class of same level. Subject to space availability. Pre-registration required!
2. Attend a combined make-up class. Call gym to schedule. Pre-registration required!

Refund Policy:
Xtreme Athletics does NOT issue refunds, however, at the discretion of the owner, a credit may be applied to a future session.

Pricing Policy:
Prices and registration fees are subject to change from one session to the next. All price changes will be posted both on line and at the gym.

Class Size Policy:
Classes that do not meet minimum required enrollment may be combined with other like-classes or canceled.

Student Promotion Policy:
Any Tumbling or Gymnastics student who desires advancement to a Level 3 or Intermediate status must schedule an advancement evaluation with Judi before promotion is granted. Mastery of levels 1 & 2 must occur before advancement is approved.

Class Attire Policy:
All students enrolled in a gymnastics class are required to wear a leotard or biketard. All students enrolled in a tumbling class are required wear snug fitting razor-back tops and shorts. For your convenience, Xtreme sells required apparel at reasonable/competitive prices. Especially for children past the pre-school age, it is important that kids in gymnastics training wear a one-piece, appropriate outfit for several reasons. Our first concern is safety, as coaches can easily lose their grip on a child who is wearing a t-shirt/shorts combination because the shirt moves so easily away from the body. On that note, most often the shirts slide above the waist when the child turns up-side-down, thus causing visual impairment as well as exposing the body, possibly causing some embarrassment to the child and the instructor. It is undesirable for the student to continually pull on the shirt while gymnastics instruction is occurring, as this disrupts focus. In addition, loose shirts can wrap around a bar causing a real safety hazard. Tumbling class students are required to wear snug fitting tops and shorts, with tennis shoes. No loose or baggy T-shirts please!
